A former Des Moines police officer who got less than two years in prison for severely beating a man during a traffic stop should get another 12 years tacked on to his sentence…that’s the word from federal prosecutors.  Merced Dautovic was convicted of excessive force and obstructing justice three years ago.  He was released last January.
