Paychecks are getting bigger for thousands of Walmart workers today, including those in Greater Des Moines. The world's biggest retailer is beginning a pay raise to nine dollars an hour for its lowest-paid workers. The boost from the U.S. minimum wage is a 24-percent pay hike.
