We're due for a population boom. The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization estimates the number of residents in greater Des Moines will hit 750-thousand by 2050.  Their local analysis shows workers will hold jobs in expanding industry sectors including natural resources and construction, as well as education and health services.
