Morning Host/ Program Director
Cumulus Media is looking for a News Director for and FM News talker (KWQW-FM) in Des Moines.
This is a great opportunity to control news in a Pilot program environment. The Program Director has a vision to attract younger listeners, including how news is to be delivered. Must be willing to think (and work) outside the box and guide anchors to do the same.
Therefore, candidates must have the ability to go beyond the AP to build newscasts that are quick, to the point, energetic and will resonate with the station's target audience.
Think "Twitter-version of news on-air pushing people to get rest of the story online and MUST be social media savvy."
Director will anchor news on-air, manage another anchor, oversee the news product created by outside sources, and create news content for the station's digital platforms.
Must demonstrate excellent writing skills and have a at least a high school diploma & valid state drivers license.
*Physical requirements: May be required to occasionally lift 25lbs & must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

NEWS ANCHOR
Cumulus Media is seeking a news anchor/reporter for News/talk KWQW-FM/Des Moines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• New business to business experience preferred with recognition as top-performer
• Minimum of 1 year outside sales experience required; 2 or more years preferred with ability to penetrate new business categories
• Strong understanding of lead generation, CRM and account management
• Cultivation of long standing client relationships
• Media sales background preferred, not required
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet)
• Bachelors degree preferred
