An ATM stolen from the Iowa Events Center this past autumn has turned up the Des Moines airport.The theft was captured on camera…but the culprit never caught…with the machine materializing this week on airport property during a routine stroll of the grounds.

 A Bettendorf woman who convinced a man she was pregnant with his child…then counterfeited a birth certificate… demanding a thousand dollars a month in child support…now faces fraud charges. She’s believed to have collected a total of 100K over six years…for the non-existent child.

The cardboard boat races…featured 15 middle school teams in fierce competition yesterday….across the Central campus pool. Crafts of all kinds…some more seaworthy than others..raced in 3 heats…with the winning cardboard skippered by Meredith middle school.
