The family of a vet who died at a veterans’ hospital in Des Moines is filing a negligence suit against an ex-nurse and the federal government.  Michael Deal died when his blood oxygen levels dropped.  Bernard Nesbit agreed to surrender his nursing license after admitting he turned off equipment that would have alerted staff to low oxygen levels in Deal’s blood.
