Music Producer/DJ/Radio Host

DJ Sweezy grew up with radio in his blood. In fact, as a kid he had a toy radio system that broadcasted on 1610AM. He’s been a music producer and DJ for nearly a decade, and you can find him catching live music anywhere music is played. When he isn’t messing around with music, you can find Sweezy at local breweries, filling his face with the best local cuisine, or hitting the gym (a rare sight!).

DJ Sweezy has had his music and mixes featured on ThisSongSlaps, Glitch Hop Community, Daily Dose Of Bass, and more. He is a co-founder of Mooncrew Unlimited, an independent record label based out of Iowa. DJ Sweezy holds a B.A. in Music & Multimedia Production from the University of Northern Iowa.

There is no doubt that DJ Sweezy has earned his stripes in the music industry. His career begins with nearly two decades behind the drum set, and continues with a decade behind a (digital) mixer. His college days took him everywhere from Grammy-winning studios, to DJing Project X-esque house parties, all the way to hours of eye-straining web design. DJ Sweezy is a proud alumni of Phi Mu Alpha-Sinfonia, as well as the countless other organizations he was a member of during his time in college.

DJ Sweezy is currently the Assistant Program Director for the five radio stations at Cumulus Media-Des Moines, and an assistant programmer for Westwood One.
